A word from the author:
It is a rare thrill and privilege to have your story produced on the other side of the world, but here we are, the world premiere of Best Divorce Ever. The trail that lead us here was a series of unlikely but happy turns, from Riihimäki, Finland (you know the place, right?) to White Rock, BC.
There was a worrying pause for a couple of years when the world closed down. But as we got back on track, and the details unfolded, it just kept getting better and better. I learned Julianne Christie would be directing, and I started getting pics and clips of an insanely talented cast. It has been hard to sit still for these last couple of months.
When you see the words ’romantic’ and ’comedy’ in the same sentence, you’ll be forgiven for having certain expectations. Please cast them aside, this should be a different ride. We go in at an askew angle, and may talk about things that you don’t want to bring up on the way home. But it’s all heart, I swear. There is no shortage of schmaltz, but it’s served with a slice of lemon. You have most likely experienced most of what Anna and Otto have, so it’s ok to laugh. We aim to take you to where you have been, in ways you haven’t seen.
